Bryce Canyon

When you first step into Bryce Canyon National Park you will feel as if you’ve been transported to a fairyland. It’s views have magical powers that instantly brings a feeling of peace over you.

Most people go to Utah for it’s ski resorts. However, you are missing out on all it’s beauty if you don’t make time for some hiking. Bryce was one of two national parks we hiked. I completed a total of thirteen miles. Distracted by the majestic scenery, I didn’t even notice.

Wondering where to stay and eat? I’ve got you covered. After our long hike we were ready for a cozy night in. I rented a sweet Airbnb called Grandpa’s Place at Bryce Canyon. Located at the base of Bryce Canyon in Tropic, Utah. This two bedroom apartment has all the amenities you’ll need. We ordered takeout from The Pizza Place on main street in their downtown area. After dinner enjoy the night sky. The stargazing here is pretty epic.

For every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks.

Zion National Park

The Narrows

One of the most popular hikes in Zion, The Narrows offers stunning views over sixteen miles. After putting on gaiters for our ten-mile hike, we made our way up The Narrows through the Virgin River. I did not get too far before I found myself stopping to marvel at the scenery. My breathe taken away by the massive canyons. If you have never seen the narrows, make it a must on your to do list. I hiked ten miles over river rocks and waist deep waters. The journey worth every step.

If you decide to hike The Narrows from the top down, you will need a permit. You will also need to arrange your own transportation to the Chamberlain’s Ranch trailhead. You can apply for a permit online . The journey from the top down is sixteen miles.

While Zion National Park has restaurants onsite, we chose to eat outside the park. Cordwood is a farm-to-table restaurant near The Boundary Cabins where we were staying. The food here was absolutely phenomenal. Fresh, mouthwatering, and delicious meals served with love.

After a full day of hiking followed by a savory dinner, we were ready to head back to our cabin. The Boundary Cabin was a 400 sq ft rustic cabin with a cozy and comfortable vibe. It’s porch was the perfect place to sip my morning coffee before taking off for the next adventure.
